Existing Conditions
The garage exhaust fan runs continuously during working hours, even when there are no vehicles in the bays. Conditioned air is exhausted needlessly during those times.
Retrofit Conditions
It is recommended that a vehicle runover hose be installed securely on the floor across the doors, to activate the exhaust fan only as needed. Each time a vehicle crosses the doorway, the fan will start and will continue running for a predetermined period. The time period should be set initially to 10 minutes, but can be adjusted as needed.
