Existing Conditions

Once heat is extracted from the steam, the resulting <high temperature> condensate is <returned to the district heating supplier> <sent to drain> <flashed to steam and vented to atmosphere>.  The heat in the condensate is still useful, so it should not be discarded.

Retrofit Conditions

We recommend installing high temperature heat recovery on the condensate and using the heat <to preheat domestic hot water> <to preheat boiler feedwater> <to heat xxx>.

Further Benefits

Application Details

Recover the energy of high-temperature condensate that would be lost by flashing.

Specialized methods for recovering the maximum amount of condensate heat in high-temperature steam heating applications.
