Existing Conditions

The xxx area is very cold in the winter due to infiltration from outside. The doors are opening and closing frequently, and the heating systems cannot keep up. Under windy conditions, cold air blows into the lobby <corridor>, displacing warm air.

Retrofit Conditions

It is recommended that a vestibule with inner double doors be built at the xxx entrance. This will provide a barrier to reduce the infiltration of cold outside air, and eliminate the need for expensive supplemental heating at the entrance.
