Baseline Model Setup

Previous page Next page
  rev. 2007-09-27

The first pages of Appendix B contain the Baseline Model Setup, including meter identification, the modeling period, the number of bills used to create the model, and the closest weather station.

For any specific situation there is more than one way to go about setting up a model.  A clearly stated standard is important to ensure that all meters and buildings in an auditing project are treated the same way, so that any comparisons among buildings are as valid as possible.  The approach used in this report is listed under Meter Modeling Standard.

There is at least one Baseline Model Setup page for each utility meter.  Electricity meters can have two baseline models, one for consumption (kWh) and one for peak demand (kW).
