Test were conducted in January 2010, using Easy Screen Capture Video v2.0 (ESCV) and Any Video Converter Professional (AVCP). These are the findings with various audio and video settings:

The main conclusions were:
1. | Mid range audio gives the best quality. Audio quality has only a small impact on file size. |
2. | 800x600 provides more screen real estate with only a small increase in final file size. The final product will be downsized by 80% to generate a 640x480 video. This fits best on the most common screen resolution of 1024x768, allowing space for menus and options. |
3. | The fastest available Video Bit Rate and Video Frame Rate are the best, without any significant increase in file size. |
