Test were conducted in January 2010, using Easy Screen Capture Video v2.0 (ESCV) and Any Video Converter Professional (AVCP).  These are the findings with various audio and video settings:

The main conclusions were:

1.Mid range audio gives the best quality.  Audio quality has only a small impact on file size.
2.800x600 provides more screen real estate with only a small increase in final file size.  The final product will be downsized by 80% to generate a 640x480 video.  This fits best on the most common screen resolution of 1024x768, allowing space for menus and options.
3.The fastest available Video Bit Rate and Video Frame Rate are the best, without any significant increase in file size.
